Gourmet Salad Blend Lettuce
Each packet contains approximately 500 seeds. Store seeds in a cool, dark place.
When to sow: Spring, summer or autumn. Note – lettuce struggles to germinate in temperatures above 24oC. If sowing in summer, choose a cool location. Where to grow: Cool, well-drained site in part sun, part shade. How to sow: Sow 5mm deep in garden, or trays for transplanting once frosts have ended. Spread seeds thinly in rows. Seedlings should emerge after 7-10 days. Care: Keep seedbed or tray evenly moist during germination period. Once seedlings have three or more leaves, transplant until big enough to plant out. Garden spacing should be approximately 30cm. Use thinnings to transplant to another bed for a bigger crop. Ready to eat: Typically after 55-75 days.
