Even though he claims, based on extensive levels of introspective research, to have reached an astounding level of cool in his mid-50s, Mr Blackwell was never cool enough to ride a Raleigh Chopper in the 1970s. He hadn't earned it.

What he had earned was a 'chopper guard' flag fixed to his metallic blue Raleigh 20 five speed by his dad, which was excellent for road safety but was the equivalent of him wearing Nomads and a brown bomber jacket over his hand-knitted cardigan to increase his street cred. Nope.

But that was then. This is now. For all of those mums, dads or grandparents that rode or coveted a Raleigh Chopper, we've released a special edition Chopper tee shirt for you to wear to the hardware store or BBQ or your tech startup co-working space this summer.

Someone sent their tee shirt back to us with  - gasp - a hair on it. It was hard to say where the hair came from. Michelle fainted. Trish had to go home and have the next day off. It was the wrong size for the wearer because they forgot to check the size chart below. The trauma of exchange was just too much for our little business to endure.
