Augustines of Central's Black Doris Plums in Pinot Noir won the Earth category at the 2021 Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards. The judges loved the simplicity of ingredients and described Black Doris plums in pinot noir syrup as having "a lovely story of terroir".
These black beauties are carefully grown by Matt at Moorpark & Mulberry Orchard in Cromwell, then hand-preserved by Gus in a Pinot Noir syrup, using wine from Central Otago's Penkridge Farm Wines.
